Last night, I had one of the strangest, most vivid dreams I’ve ever had. Normally, my dreams are very mundane—grocery shopping, errands, random moments. But this one felt symbolic, like a message delivered straight from my subconscious.
In the dream, I went to the doctor and said, “The tip of my tongue has a bump. It’s been bothering me for a while.” She looked closely and said, “You have a fruit fly stuck in your tongue. Try to pinch it out.”
So I did. And out flew a fruit fly—from the tip of my tongue.
It buzzed around the room and landed in a sink where I attempted to wash it down the drain. But it wouldn't die; it just kept zipping through the air.
What It Meant to Me
When I awoke, I was stunned. The symbolism hit me hard. The tongue is a tool for speech, truth, and expression— yet something foreign had been lodged in it. Something small, but persistent. I had no idea what it was, just that it had been irritating me a long time.
Fruit flies are drawn to decay, to things that have been left sitting too long. And maybe that’s exactly what this was—a thought, a feeling, a wound that had been fermenting quietly inside me. Something I hadn’t dealt with. Something that began to rot in silence.
The night before my dream, I decided it was time to finally write Jade's Vision—to give voice to everything I'd been holding in. It felt like the dream was showing me the exact moment of release—the reclaiming of my voice.
This Is the Start
Even though the fly didn’t die, it left my body. It’s no longer living inside me, feeding off grief or shame. It still exists, but it doesn’t control me anymore.
This isn’t just a dream. It’s a message. And today, I’m finally listening.
Welcome to Jade’s Vision.
