They say humans are animals—
mammals, to be exact.
I grew up hearing it,
but I never felt it.
Not until my body became a home.
Not until I carried life, labored through pain,
and delivered something greater than myself.
Not until I fed my baby from my own body—
a cycle as old as time.
Now, I see my body differently:
Breasts as nourishment.
Hips as passageways.
Arms as shelter.
Motherhood awakened
something ancient in me.
Even without words, we speak.
I know my daughter’s cries,
her needs, her rhythms.
We are bound by something
deeper than language—
something wild and instinctual.
I understand now why they
call it Mother Nature.
I feel more connected to the earth.
More compassionate toward other mothers.
Other families.
Other living beings.
I understand the fierce love
of a protective mama bear.
I feel tenderness for milking
cows and their baby calves.
Because once you’ve created life,
you see life differently.
Motherhood is not just an experience.
It’s an awakening
A soul activation.
Motherhood didn’t just change me—
It revealed the animal in me.
